NEWS: TETHYS4ADRION Showcased at the Final Conference of CA – PRIORITY
Prof. Dr. Elda Marku from the TETHYS4ADRION project partner, University of Tirana, attended the Final Conference of CA PRIORITY (Plastics Monitoring, Detection, Remediation, Recovery) in Leoben, Austria, at Montanuniversität, which was held from September 2-5, 2025 in Leoben, Austria, at Montanuniversität.
During the conference, Prof. Dr. Marku presented the TETHYS4ADRION project, contributing to greater visibility and understanding of our goals and activities within the scientific community.
The event brought together over 80 participants from universities and research institutes based in Spain, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Serbia, Greece, Slovenia, Hungary, Mexico, Denmark, India, Estonia, Croatia, Belgium, Romania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Finland, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Albania, Australia, and North Macedonia.
The conference provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences on topics such as:
- Analytical approaches for microplastic detection,
- Legislation and regulations,
- Assessment of plastics impact on human and environmental health,
- Biodegradation of micro-, macro- and nanoplastics, and the challenges and opportunities for the mitigation of plastic pollution,
- Sustainable catalytic technologies for plastic remediation and valorization,
- Advancing science in plastic pollution monitoring and citizen engagement,
- Trends and challenges in addressing nanoplastics.
The Conference also served as a platform for showcasing and networking international research projects focused on plastic pollution.
