NEWS: SAVE THE DATE: “Slovenia and Europe for Clean Waters: Innovations and Solutions against Plastic Pollution”

We are pleased to invite you to the event “Slovenia and Europe for Clean Waters: Innovations and Solutions against Plastic Pollution”, which will take place on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, from 8:30 to 16:00 at the National Institute of Biology (Večna pot 121, Ljubljana).

This event offers an opportunity to:

  • Attend the keynote lecture by Dr João Frias, a leading researcher at the Atlantic Technological University (ATU), specializing in marine litter, microplastics, and ocean literacy (see Dr Frias’s biography and short description of his lecture),

  • Discover European and national projects tackling plastic pollution in Slovenia’s aquatic environments,

  • Participate in an interactive networking workshop to foster new partnerships and collaborations.

The event welcomes representatives from academia, industry, research, activism, journalism, and all those interested in the future of our waters.
