NEWS: University of Tirana Showcases TETHYS4ADRION at RiverClean Summer School
From September 23 to 27, 2025, the Summer School organised under the project RiverClean brought together students and environmental practitioners to explore innovative approaches for cleaner rivers and seas.
During the programme, Dr. Jonida Tahiraj, from the project partner University of Tirana, delivered a presentation on the TETHYS4ADRION project. Her session introduced participants to the project’s objectives, expected outcomes, and its contribution to cleaner aquatic ecosystems in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
In total, 34 trainees – primarily students from seven Albanian universities – took part in the Summer School. The interactive format provided an opportunity not only to gain new knowledge but also to exchange ideas and foster dialogue between academia, environmental organisations, and project implementers.
The event was implemented by Milieukontakt Albania and the Environmental and Territorial Management Institute (ETMI), with financial support from the European Union in Albania.
